What Is Involved In PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)?
Reaching MSDT is a Three-phase process. 1) Attaining 5 specialty instructor Ratings and 2) Reaching an experience level of 25 diver certifications and 3) Applying to PADI to become an MSDT. Training to become a Specially Instructor and teach five specialty courses is the first step
PADI Specialty Instructor
PADI Specialty Instructor rating can be taken individually or in a package of 5 specs. for each of the Specialties you chose to undertake you must complete:
- One knowledge development presentation
- One or two open water teaching presentations
You can choose from
- PADI Enriched Air Instructor
- PADI Deep Instructor
- PADI Wreck Instructor
- PADI Digital Underwater Photography Instructor
- PADI Search & Recovery Diver Instructor
- PADI Underwater Navigation Instructor
PADI MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer)
Once you are a certified instructor in at least 5 PADI Specialty instructor Ratings you must achieve an experience level of 25 student diver certifications. This can be achieved by working as a PADI instructor and gaining your experience as you go or by joining an MSDT certification program whereby you can teach 25 student certifications with a dive center under the guidance of other seasoned PADI professionals.
